Meet the Team

Chris, Front Desk/Reception

Born and raised in the U.K., Chris has been living in Florida for many years. She started working in the dental field when she was only 17 years old! When she’s not working, she enjoys being outdoors, art decor, sewing and bike riding. She loves coming to work and seeing Gulf Coast Dental patients, no matter whether they are familiar faces or new faces.

Monica, Dental Hygienist

Monica was born in Munich, Germany. Her father was in the Air Force and settled in Crestview in 1971. Monica moved to Niceville in 1984. She was educated at Pensacola State College where she graduated in 1979. She has been a full-time dental hygienist since her graduation. Monica is married and has one daughter. She likes to travel, visit family and friends and spend time on the river. She also enjoys spending time with her three cats.

Wendy, Dental Assistant

Wendy is originally from upstate New York, and has been living in this area for fifteen years. She started assisting in 2006 and over the years she has worked in many areas of dentistry including surgical, periodontal and general. When she was just a teenager she knew she was interested in going into dentistry. Wendy has two young children, Wyatt and Norah. Her family also includes two cats, Momma and Camo, and a dog named Maggie. She and her family enjoy being outside in the country, gardening and riding ATVs. Her hobbies include cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with friends.

Sara, Clinical-Treatment Coordinator

Originally from Central America, Sara has been living in the area since 1989. She has been working at Gulf Coast Dental since she graduated in 2000. She was educated at Northwest Florida State College and Gulf Coast Community College. In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She loves to travel and her hobbies include going to the beach, paddle boarding, hiking, biking and anything and everything outdoors!

Dr. Steven Robinette, Doctor

Dr. Steven G. Robinette graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Health Sciences. He continued his education at the University of Tennessee, earning his DDS in 1985. Since graduating, he has continued his education with several intensive courses including training in the latest techniques of laser periodontal therapy, implants, and full mouth rehabilitation.

His passion for dentistry dates back to when he was in the 10th grade, and he has always been interested in the field of health services. He is committed to excellence and patient health and comfort. His goal is to help every patient create and maintain a healthy oral environment and a beautiful smile.

He is married and when he is not reading books or articles about dentistry, he enjoys time outdoors— fishing, hiking, biking, camping, scuba diving, and snowboarding. He is also an avid attendee of music festivals.

Dr. Robinette is a member of the American Dental Association, Northwest District Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
